Augmented Reality

In 2016/17 I was a Senior Unity Engineer for Genie Design, an AR Application for GenieAR

In 2015 I was the Unity Tech Lead for the award-winning Invisible Museum AR project for Qualcomm which debuted at CES 2016

I spent over two years at Qualcomm and became an expert in Augmented Reality using Vuforia across iOS, Android and Unity. I helped developers exploit this technology by providing expert support for high profiles AR apps such as the McDonald’s World Cup, American Apparel and Starbucks.

This work covered a range of AR technologies including Image Markers, Image Targets, 3D Targets and Smart Terrain across a range of applications including advertising and gaming.

With Apple’s recent acquisition of Metaio, and before that Primesense, AR might hopefully reach its potential – provided of course that it can solve a meaningful problem for a wide enough audience in a more affordable way than before.
